Food.Buffet.Performances

Hundreds of LiveWire's friends and families were invited for an Eid gathering last night at the Riverview Hotel in a celebratory feast marking the end of Syawal. As a part of the celebration, it is common for the invitees to wear their best clothing. So, right after our working hours, we wore our "cara melayu" clothing and depart from Seria around 06:00pm.

After an hour long drive, finally we reached the Riverview Hotel. At first, I thought we were kinda late at that time as we arrived there around 07:00pm. The invitation was supposed to be 06:30pm, so I thought they are already starting, but..suprisingly, they haven't started it yet. Lucky for us.. Hehe.. As we arrived, a traditional music from the pool side greets us along our way towards the main entrance. We were then greeted by the Livewire member (Dina, Kim, Steven, Audrey) and were asked to fill in our name for the lucky draw that they're going to make later on. The good thing was we got the chance to choose our own lucky draw number..Wuhuu...

Anywhoo...we passed by lots of peeps..People were staring at us as if they know us.. Right~We were then standing in a middle of nowhere thinking of where the best sit that we could get. While waiting, I grab the chance to take some pictures.. Hehe.. Then, our blogger, Iskandar lead us to a table in the middle of the tent, which was already occupied three unknown invitees..We chose our chairs and gossiping the people around. Sitting there with our best behavior, Iskandar and I, again, took the chance to take some pictures before the event starts. People keeps on flocking in bringing out their best outfits..and not to forget also their shimmering-shimmering accessories.. FYI, to indentify a serious blogger, its so damn easy, just look for the people who never let go of their camera... or mobile phone.. Hehe..As we sat there waiting for the event to starts, drinks were served earlier by a polite and well-trained waiter named MELACHOR..

A small intro from DJ Riyan marks the start of the event. A short welcoming speech was also given by Pg Redzuan. Then, we were all been asked to start the buffet..At first, people were kinda shy to go to buffet table, but as the DJ announced sarcastically where the buffet table was, then, people starts to take their food..How ammusing..Well, our table were one of the table that doesn't take their food early because we know people will always pushing each other to get to the buffet table. So we just patiently wait while enjoying the view. Soon after the buffet line getting shorter, we then put ourselves in queue with the others.

Scrumptious food was served in a buffet style. Some of the food was kinda finished already but it doesn't really matter. At least I've my reason to put on my diet.. Hehehe.. Nasi, Rendang, Mango Chicken, Mixed Vegetables and Soup was the menu served during that buffet. There are another two stalls, which I haven't gone to. Both of the stalls might be for the drinks.. Hehe.. Anywhoo, we then bring our food to the table and starts to munch everything since I'm very hungry at that time. Performances from 'Irama Bahtera', an out-of-tuned nasyid as well as a band performances merry us while we were eating.

Suddenly, rain pours heavily, which obviously moves everything from the outside of the tent into the inside. INCLUDING the MC's table (DJ Riyan).. Hehe..Well, that doesn't stop the event from ongoing...Four couples of men were then been introduced to all of the invitees as they were invited from the SPADES. These men are the experts in performing cards magic show. So, we were told that they will be roaming around the tables and performed a card magic show infront of us. The first couple came to us and they amazed us with their blank card show. As the second couple came to us, we were also been amazed by the changing card show... Well, at that time, Zair was so amazed with the trick as she smiled throughout the magic show.

Earlier, we were told by Audrey that Iskandar has registered our names to sing in the Karaoke Contest. We were so surprised and hoping that we could go home before the Karaoke Contest starts. Hehe.. Lucky for us we went back after the second lucky draw.. While waiting for the second lucky draw to finish, Zair, was hoping that she could get something from the lucky draw...The car vacuum cleaner..Haha.. but her number was not a good feng shui for her.. Well, anywhoo..we then slowly go out from the pool side while thanking the LiveWire committees along our way to the main entrance..Lucky for us, the rain stops which makes us easy to get to our car.

P/S: A british/australian woman was seen during that event wearing a nice blue kimono style. Her dressing was the most appealing throughout the event. She was seen standing outside the main entrance while enjoying the magic show from the SPADES. "Can you send me home right now?" -quoted from the lady while joking with one of the SPADES committees..
